(New York, NY) – The Trump administration is pulling $400 million in grants and contracts from Columbia University. Education Secretary Linda McMahon said in a statement, ““Since October 7, Jewish students have faced relentless violence, intimidation, and anti-Semitic harassment on their campuses — only to be ignored by those who are supposed to protect them,”. Reaction has been split, as pro-Palestinian protests begin picking back up on campus.
The Interim President Katrina Armstrong says she has some “legitimate concerns” going on to claim the funding will impact every corner of the university. The director of the school’s Hillel says he hopes this serves as a wake-up call for the administration.
