(New York, NY) — Mayor Adams was answering questions about his re-election campaign on Thursday, as rumors swirl that he may not try for another four years. The New York Times is reporting that Adams has not held any campaign events this year and he has no campaign manager. The Democratic primary is just a little over three months away. A recent poll found that only 20 percent of voters approve of the job he has done over the last four years.
Six Democrats seeking to become the next mayor took part in a forum Thursday night, but the two most recognizable names running were not in attendance. Mayor Adams and former Governor Andrew Cuomo skipped the event. The Democrats who did attend, including Michael Blake took shots at Adams and Cuomo for not being there.
