(New York, NY) – James Dennehy, the head of the FBI’s New York office, forcibly resigned Monday (March 3, 2025), one month after he refused to comply with the Trump administration’s request for the names of all agents who worked on Capitol riot cases.
Dennehy wrote in an email to colleagues, “I was not given a reason for this decision.”
Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, demanded a list of all bureau employees who had worked on criminal cases against the hundreds of Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol.
