(New York, NY) — Outrage in Co-op City in the Bronx after a man recently released from prison was charged over the weekend with raping a 15-year-old girl. Neighbors say 29-year-old Casmine Aska should have never been freed, after he was found guilty of throwing a 9-year-old boy off the roof of a five story building back in 2013. The boy survived the fall Aska was 17 years old at the time. He was freed on January 30th.
Co-op City residents say they are not surprised to hear Aska has been cuffed and charged with the rape of a teenager. Police say the attack took place inside an apartment building at 140 Bellamy Loop on Thursday.
Aska has been charged with first-degree rape. If convicted, he could face up to 25 years behind bars
