(New York, NY) – A viral video turning into a sign of life for a woman who was reported missing last summer. It happened Wednesday morning around 11:30 a.m. on a southbound W train. MTA operators stopped the train at 34th St. where a 25 year-old-woman gave birth to the youngest rider on the W train.
When the story went viral on TikTok, the woman was recognized and identified as someone who was reported missing in August of 2024. She was last seen in Florida by her ex-boyfriend. Her family told police that she may need some mental health assistance as she was diagnosed with schizophrenia shortly before her disappearance. After the woman gave birth, she and the baby were taken to Bellevue Hospital. City Transit President Demetrius Crichlow says the two were just fine.
