(New York, NY) – Elon Musk has been targeting government waste as head of the new Department of Government Efficiency – or DOGE – which has spurred legal battles across several states. A federal judge in Manhattan blocked DOGE from accessing the Treasury Department’s payment system following a challenge led by New York Attorney General Letitia James. James, along with 18 other state attorneys general, sued President Donald Trump along with the Treasury Department.
The judge says that sensitive information will be accessed from vulnerable devices – putting citizens at risk. Lawyers for the White House will return to court on February 14th.
