(New York, NY) – A former aide to Mayor Eric Adams is pleading guilty to a conspiracy. The charge is in relation to the federal corruption case against the mayor. Mohamad Bahi was City Hall’s Muslim Community liaison and was first arrested back in October. Adams has pleaded not guilty to the five count indictment.
This comes less than a month after another name in the corruption case – real estate developer Erden Arkan – also pleaded guilty to conspiracy. Adams has a trail date set for April – unless he gets pardoned before then by President Trump.
