(Washington, D.C.) — All 67 victims in last week’s deadly mid-air collision near Washington, D.C. have been recovered. Officials confirmed the news on Tuesday. The cockpit and tail from the American Airlines plane have also been recovered. The plane collided with an Army Black Hawk helicopter last week, killing everyone aboard both the chopper and the aircraft. The crash was the deadliest in the U.S. since 2001.

A vigil was held this week at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum to honor 28 members of the figure skating community killed in the mid-air collision.  Justin Dillon, a spokesman with U.S. Figure Skating, says the skating world is still trying to make sense of so much talent and passion lost in the crash. The athletes, coaches, and family members killed were returning from the National Development Camp in Wichita.
