(New York, NY) — The deportations and arrests continue. The new Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem says she was in the Bronx last night watching on as ICE agents made arrests. Noem rode with federal law enforcement agents as they went after a migrant wanted for kidnapping, assault and burglary. Video supplied by Homeland Security shows the agents walking the streets in the Highbridge section of the Bronx early Tuesday morning. One person is seen being taken away in handcuffs.
Immigration raids are taking place in major cities around the country. The Trump administration has launched a social media thread showcasing what it calls the “worst criminals” arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement since the president’s inauguration.
ICE reports more than 950 people were arrested nationwide just on Monday alone.
