(New York, NY) – The head of New York City’s largest union representing transit workers is on the outs due to allegations of sexual misconduct. The Gothamist reports an internal memo from TWU Local 100 found the claims against leader Richard Davis credible. Davis is accused of pressuring an employee into sex and then threatening the woman’s life and career when she tried to end the relationship. Davis was elected to lead the local branch of the transport workers union in December 2022. He was then re-elected in early January. It is not yet clear who will take over in the position. Davis denies all allegations.
