(Hollywood, CA) — Netflix’s “Emilia Perez” is making history at this year’s Oscars. The film starring Karla Sofia Gascon and Selena Gomez earned 13 nominations, breaking the record for a non-English film. The blockbuster Broadway musical adaptation “Wicked” and the period-drama “The Brutalist” each received ten nominations. The nominations were announced Thursday morning after being delayed multiple times due to the Los Angeles wildfires. The 97th Academy Awards will take place March 2nd in Hollywood.
