(New York, NY) – A former close confidant of New York Mayor Eric Adams is not worried about a potential future behind bars. Ingrid Lewis-Martin is facing corruption charges over accusations that she granted favors with hotel companies in the city in exchange for over $100,000 in bribes. Now, the Daily News reports that Lewis Martin tells investigators that she is not afraid and says the case is wrong.
According to a letter from District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office sent to defense lawyer- Lewis Martin specifically mentioned that the department of corrections will take care of her since she has quote – been good to them”. She has pleaded not guilty to the four count indictment. She is due back in court early February.
