(New York, NY) — The NYPD now says the 55-year-old man found dead, wrapped in plastic bags in a Kew Gardens, Queens apartment this week, was the building’s superintendent and he was there to collect late rent from tenants.  Surveillance footage shows the super, from a building on 70th Avenue entering an apartment, but never leaving. The NYPD has two people in custody, but they have yet to be charged.

Neighbors say the super was beloved in the building. They also say the tenants who lived in the apartment where his body was found were not well liked.

The Medical Examiner is now working to figure out the 55-year-old’s cause of death.
