(New York, NY) — NYPD cops continue to search for a moped-riding, knife-wielding robber they’ve dubbed the “Haggler After Midnight.” They say the wanted man has mugged at least eleven men during overnight robberies in Brooklyn and Queens, in which he “negotiates” with victims over what he’s going to steal from them. Police say the mugger seems to be most interested in cash or electronics. His victims have all been Hispanic males between 20 and 40-years-old, who are walking by themselves after midnight.
Deputy Police Chief John Mastronardi says the wanted suspect has become more bold and more violent in his recent hold ups. In one mugging, he put a knife to the throat of a victim. A cash reward is being offered for his arrest.
