(Los Angeles, CA) — Winds with gusts as high as 60 miles per hour will make it tough today for firefighters trying to douse four huge wildfires in Southern California. 24 have been killed in the fires, though that number is expected to go higher because a number of Angelenos are missing. More than 12,000 structures, including homes businesses and schools have burned to the ground. The total area charred by the Palisades, Eaton and Hurst fires is around the size of the city of Paris, France.

Firefighters say they made some progress over the weekend, but warn homeowners that they are not out of the woods just yet.  The L.A. Fire Chief still has a job, for now. There were reports that Kristin Crowley was going to be fired.  L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, says she will make decisions about personnel when the flames are all out.

Police say they arrested more looters. One who was dressed as a firefighter.
