(New York, NY) — The lights on the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be turned off this weekend. Saturday is the last day New Yorkers and tourists will be able to see the 74 foot Norway Spruce from Massachusetts all dolled up for the holiday season. Once it hits ten p.m. the Rock Center Christmas tree will turn off for the season, marking the end to the holiday season in New York City.

Once all the decorations are off, the 11-ton tree will be donated to Habitat for Humanity to help build houses. The Rockefeller Center has been donating the tree to Habitat for Humanity every year since 2007, helping families across the region build homes.
