(Washington, D.C) — The two giant pandas, getting ready for their debut at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. had a blast playing in the snow on Monday. Five inches of snow fell in the D.C area. There is video of Bao Li and Qing Bao tumbling in the snow. They are native to a mountainous region in China where they can see cold winter temperatures. Zoo keepers say their thick fur protects them from the snow.
Bao Li and Qing Bao arrived in D.C from China back on October 15th, and are getting acquainted to their surrounding before the zoo lets the public see them. The pandas are set to make their debut to zoo goers on January 24th.
