(Fort Lauderdale, FL) — The bodies of two people were found in the landing gear of a JetBlue plane at Florida’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Monday evening. The discovery was made overnight in the landing gear compartment during a post flight maintenance inspection. The flight had originated at JFK Airport in New York. There’s no telling how they accessed the underbody of the aircraft, nor any details about the victims yet.
The airline put out a statement Tuesday morning, “Tragically, both individuals were deceased. At this time, the identities of the individuals and the circumstances surrounding how they accessed the aircraft remain under investigation.”
Last month, a body was found in the wheel well of a United Airlines flight in Maui.
