(Dennis Township, NJ) – An arrest has been made after a woman’s body was discovered inside of a refrigerator that had been dumped in South Jersey. Cops say 46-year-old John Tyrrell of New Jersey was charged with fourth degree obstruction, and he’s accused of refusing to be fingerprinted. He allegedly refused to hand over his cell phone after authorities began investigating.

The woman’s body was found inside the refrigerator on December 22, 2024, in Belleplain State Forest. The Cape Mount County Prosecutor’s office says Tyrrell first reported finding the body. He has not been charged with murder. And authorities still aren’t sure who the woman is.

Reports say the woman is either Caucasian or Hispanic, standing five feet and one inch tall. Her body has tattoos — of a rose and of a Koi fish. Inside the refrigerator she was found with a yoga mat, and what police describe as a unique necklace.
