(New York, NY) – Everything is going up in price these days. Gas prices may fluctuate, but it’s always pricey filling up the tank. Mass transit prices are on the rise for NJ Transit and the MTA. Now, even your Citi Bike ride is going to cost you more.
Beginning January 6, 2025, non-Citi Bike members will pay $4.99 per ride. Using an e-bike will cost 38 cents every minute. For non-members, overage charges will rise to 38 cents.
Members will not see a change in their subscription price — but an e-bike ride and any ride that lasts more than half an hour will see a price increase. January 6 they both go up 25 cents per minute. And then in February, a day pass goes up from $19 to $25.
This is the third price increase in just over a year for Citi Bike.
