(New York, NY) – While people were celebrating the joy of the holidays, some had to unfortunately spend the day in the hospital following a crash in Herald Square. A yellow cab jumped the curb and into the crowded sidewalk right across from the holiday window displays at Macy’s. Six people in total were hit, three were transported to area hospitals to be treated for minor injuries, all three expected to be okay. Two women and a nine-year-old boy were among those victims taken to the hospital.
The driver also sustained a minor injury with a cut to his leg. Reports say that the driver may have suffered a medical episode which triggered that crash. Police have not filed any charges against the driver.
