(New York, NY) – The NYPD Lieutenant that made headlines for her record overtime earnings and sexual abuse allegations against a former chief wants her old job back. Quathisha Epps recently came forward with claims that she endured quid pro quo sexual harassment by the former Chief of Department, Jeffrey Maddrey. Maddrey stepped down shortly after those allegations were made public.
Epps served in an administrative position and was suspended after internal affairs discovered that she raked in over $204,000 in overtime earnings. Epps claims that overtime came at the price of sexual favors and demands made by Maddrey. The New York Post reports that a lawyer for Epps is requesting that her suspension be ended. A representative for Epps also requested that she be given back pay along with the opportunity to retire with a pension next month. She originally filed paperwork to retire on December 16th, two days before her suspension. Meanwhile, investigators are still probing into the overtime earnings trying to determine whether or not Epps was directly responsible or fraudulent.
