(Staten Island, NY) – Amazon Teamsters are on Day 4 of a nationwide strike that is expected to cause some major disruption ahead of the holidays. A second amazon warehouse in New York saw workers walk off the job this weekend as they demand the online mega-retailer to come to the bargaining table. Staten Island’s JFK8 Warehouse and the DBK4 Warehouse in Queens are part of the strike. New York State Attorney General Lettia James showed support for the workers and joined them on the picket line yesterday.
Amazon workers deserve higher wages and safe working conditions.

Workers are asking for higher wages, health benefits and better working conditions for those in the warehouses. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters say this is the largest strike against Amazon in US history. Meanwhile, Amazon maintains that the strike will not majorly impact operations.
