(New York, NY) — A drone detection system is up and working, monitoring the skies over New Jersey today. Governor Murphy says so far nothing too suspicious or dangerous has been spotted in the garden state. The White House says the rash of drone sightings across the Northeast are unmanned aircraft that are legally and lawfully in the sky. White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby says most of the drone activity is from commercial, hobbyists or law enforcement drones.
Members of the House Intelligence Committee will receive a classified drone briefing today. The FBI, CIA and National Intelligence Agency are expected to speak at the meeting.
President-elect Trump says he believes the government knows more about the drones than they are letting on. He says the American people have a right to know what’s going on, and says he doesn’t understand why the White House is keeping people in suspense.
