(Rye Brook, NY) — Six people were hurt after a wrong way driver crashed his vehicle into another car on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester County. Police say the wrong way driver crashed in the northbound lanes near Lincoln Avenue in Rye Brook just after midnight. Six people in two cars were taken to the hospital. It’s believed the driver suffered life-threatening injuries, while the other victims were being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police are still unsure why the driver got onto the roadway going the wrong way. The Westchester County Police Department Accident Investigation Team spent the night on the scene investigating.
