(Madison, WI) – Yet another school shooting has unfolded in America — this time at a private, Christian school in Madison, Wisconsin. Authorities say three people are dead as a result. One of them is a teenager, who was a student at the school — Abundant Life Christian School. The school teaches K-through-12 students.
Reports now say the shooter died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. But not before killing a teacher and a fellow student. Six other students were wounded — two are in critical condition, and four are stable.
A massive police response descended on the school today and a perimeter was established — as well as a meet up/reunification spot for parents and students. One mom who was relieved to find out her kids were safe disclosed they routinely pray a school shooting won’t happen.
Madison Police Chief Shon F. Barnes says the shooter was found deceased when officers arrived. A motive has yet to be determined. The White House says President Biden has been briefed on the shooting.
