(New York, NY) – Police say they have a person of interest in custody, who may be the gunman who shot and killed UnitedHealthcare CEO, Brian Thompson in midtown Manhattan last week. Cops say a tip led them to the individual inside a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pa. The “New York Post” is reporting the man in custody has a manifesto on him, along with a gun, a silencer and a number of fake identification cards.
NYPD cops had said the wanted gunman fled the city after shooting Thompson outside the Hilton hotel on West 55th Street early last Wednesday morning. Authorities had been tight-lipped as to what they knew about the killer. Over the weekend, police had released new photos of the wanted man. They also say they had recovered a backpack they believe belonged to the shooter. Inside was a jacket and money from the board game, Monopoly.
