(Essex County, NJ) – Posts on social media have identified two of the six victims in a devastating car accident on Friday night. The crash happened around 10:45 p.m. right under the Pulaski Skyway. Authorities believe that the car veered off the road, and became airborne before it crashed into a support column for the skyway. As the car crashed, it also burst into flames killing all six victims inside.
The Essex County prosecutor’s office has not officially released the names of all those who died, but two high school football coaches are believed to be among the victims. Lamar McKnight, head football coach at Hudson Catholic Regional High School and Brad Cunningham, assistant coach were reportedly killed. The remaining victims are being identified via dental records.
