(New York, NY) — A lot of neighbors in northern New Jersey want to know who is behind a slew of drones that have been seen in the skies there over the last few weeks. The aircraft, described as the size of a small cars have been seen at night parked over military installations, police departments, and vital reservoirs. That has everyone worried about who may be piloting the drones.
The FBI says it has no idea who is putting the drones up in the air. Florham Park’s police chief says “their presence appears nefarious.” In Somerset County, emergency workers had to cancel a medical helicopter transport because the same drones were seen near their landing area. The mayor of Florham Park, Mark Taylor says he keeps getting calls about the drones. He has seen the video of them is has been amazed by the size of the flying unmanned aircraft.
The Federal Aviation Administration says it has imposed drone flight restrictions in portions of northern New Jersey as they do a thorough investigation.
