(New York, NY) — The NYPD says they have pretty good pictures of the gunman who shot and killed the CEO of UnitedHealthcare outside the Hilton Midtown early Wednesday, but so far they have no idea where he is. An UBER driver saw the whole thing play out. He says he watched as the gunman waited around, and then fired the bullets that killed 50-year-old Brian Thompson. The chief executive, who is from Minnesota was in New York for an investors meeting.
Police say the gunman was last seen riding an e-bike in Central Park shortly after the shooting. They are now trying to figure what beef he had with Thompson, who leaves behind a wife and two teenage kids. Detectives say the words “deny,” “defend” and “depose” were discovered on the shell casings found at the scene of the deadly shooting.
