(San Francisco, CA) — The CEO of a California tech startup says he is looking for employees who are willing to work long hours, up to 84 hours a week. Daksh Gupta heads a company called Greptile that focuses on artificial intelligence in San Francisco. He says he expects anyone who works for him to be available from 9AM- 11AM, five days a week, and to slave away on weekends too.
Gupta says it’s all about staying competitive in the marketplace. The 23-year-old has faced a lot of criticism for the demanding schedule, but he has also received several job applications. He’s looking to hire software engineers who are ready to put in a lot of hard work, with the promise of significant financial rewards in the future.
