(Edison, NJ) – Over 200 people are now displaced following a major fire at a senior center in New Jersey. The flames broke out at the Inman Grove Senior Citizen Residence. The five-floor building in Edison saw the blaze spread after starting in an apartment unit and traveling through an open window.
Firefighters were able to eventually tame the flames, after it reached four-alarms. There were earlier reports that the fire killed a man who did not have any vitals, but miraculously he was revived by first responders and taken to the hospital in critical condition. A woman was also critically injured in that fire. Eight others suffered smoke inhalation. The American Red Cross was on the scene offering assistance and Edison Township is also helping displaced residents foot the bill at area hotels.
