(New York, NY) — Macy’s is getting ready to inflate the big balloons for the Thanksgiving Day parade. Spectators can get up close to the inflatables from 1p.m. until 6 p.m. tonight, outside the Museum of Natural History on the Upper West Side. Once that is done, the 34 giant floats sitting inside a New Jersey studio will be folded up and then rolled through the Lincoln tunnel.

Rehearsals for the 98th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade have been taking place over the last few days. Thursday’s main event, will features nearly two dozen floats, 17 balloons, eleven marching bands, and 600 cheerleaders. T-Pain, Idina Menzel, and The Temptations are just some big names set to perform, along with the Rockettes and Jimmy Fallon and The Roots. Santa Clause closes out the whole show.

Rain is in the forecast for Thursday, but the parade will still go on.
