(Yemassee, SC) — Thirty-nine of 43 monkeys that escaped from a Yemassee, South Carolina research facility earlier this month are back inside the center today. The CEO of Alpha Genesis, says many of the recaptured Rhesus primates were coaxed by into the facility by what they called, humane traps. So far, all of the recaptured animals are  good health. They have been put back on their high protein diets of Monkey Chow and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

The monkeys were able to escape the Alpha Genesis center in Yemassee, after a worker left gates inside the center open.
