(East Rutherford, NJ) — The New York Giants have benched quarterback Daniel Jones for the rest of the season. Big Blue has struggled all season and is just 2 and 8. Third string QB Tommy DeVito, better known to fans as “Tommy Cutlets” is is expected to take over the starting role when the team hosts Tampa Bay on Sunday in the Meadowlands. DeVito went 3-3 as a rookie starter last season.
Jones was picked 6th overall in 2019 draft. He played at Duke University. Fans and sports analysts questioned the move, but Giants management insisted he was the future leader of the team. The Giants are just 3-13 in Jones’ 16 starts since he signed a high priced contract extension with team back in 2022 .
