(New York, NY) — NYPD cops are searching for a crew of thieves, who are following around FEDEX and UPS trucks, and when the driver parks they rush in and clear out every package the can. The wanted crew of thieves have made off with more than quarter million dollars worth of merchandise. Police say the first incident took place back in April right near Rockefeller Center. They say two people act as lookouts, as the others rush in with sacks and grab as many packages as they can from the truck.
The heists have taken place all across city, including the Lower East Side, Park Slope, Long Island City and Prospect Heights.
Police worry the pack of thieves will hit more trucks in the next weeks with the holidays coming up.
