(Forest Hills, NY) – A candidate running for State Assembly was placed in a cop car this morning outside of the polling station located at PS 101. Witnesses say Jonathan Rinaldi was shouting and harassing people outside, screaming things like “Vote Rinaldi” and calling people “baby killers”. An NYPD spokesperson says that officers gave him multiple warnings to stop before he was detained. He was released with a summons for misdemeanor harassment. Rinaldi has made headlines for previous confrontations such as a tiff with Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, where Richards had filed a misdemeanor complaint for aggravated harassment. No injuries were reported.
