(Watermill, NY) — We’re learning more about the woman murdered Monday at a Hamptons spa and the suspect who took his own life. Sabina Rosas was an artist who graduated from SUNY Purchase in 2020. Suffolk County Police say the 33-year-old was staying at a posh Watermill Wellness Center, Shou Sugi Ban House, with Thomas Gannon, her 56-year-old boyfriend. A spa staffer found Rosas dead in their room. Gannon was found hours later, 90 miles away, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.
Rosas’s family released a statement about their daughter
“As the eldest of three daughters, Sabina brought excitement, adventure, joy and love to our family. She is survived by her loving mother, father, fiancé and separated husband. We are devastated by this senseless loss and ask for privacy as we navigate this incredibly difficult time.”
Rosas, who was born in Tajikistan leaves behind a mother, father, two sisters and a fiance.
