(New York, NY) — A new poll finds Mayor Adams trailing former Governor Andrew Cuomo in a hypothetical Democratic primary match-up. The New York Times survey says, if the election were held today Cuomo would get 22 percent of the vote, Attorney General Letitia James would get 19 and Adams would come in third at 12 percent.
The poll finds 52-percent of voters believe the mayor, who was indicted on corruption charges last month, did do something illegal. Only 26-percent of the registered voters surveyed say they approve of Adams’ job performance. Crime, the big issue Adams ran on in 2021, is still the top concern of the New Yorkers surveyed by the Times.
