(New York, NY) – The Timothée Chalamet doppelgänger contest took place in Washington Square on Sunday and the contest got a bit crazy after cops had to shut down the massive crowd. The contest was announced earlier in the month and offered up fifty dollars in prize money for the person that looked the most like the actor known for his roles in Dune and Wonka.

Cops responded to the scene and broke things up saying that the group did not have a permit for the gathering. It got even crazier when the actual Timothée showed up surprising fans. The winner was named Miles Mitchell, a 21 year old student from Staten Island.
