(Los Angeles, CA) — The World Series gets underway tonight in Los Angeles with the Yankees hoping to knock off a tough Dodger team. Right-hander Jack Flaherty is scheduled to start opposite righty Gerrit Cole. L.A. is hoping to carry over its explosive offense after scoring 46 runs over the six-game National League Championship Series against the Mets. The Dodgers are looking to nail down their second championship in the last five years after winning the World Series in 2020.
The Yankees are hoping for their 28th championship, last winning in 2009.
