(New York, NY) – A police report has been filed in the kerfuffle that happened between two Department of Corrections staffers at Gracie Mansion. A video that has gone viral on social media shows the DOC spokeswoman Annais Morales facing off with the health and safety compliance director Mariam Singh at an official event for Hispanic Heritage Month. The two are seen verbally arguing, then Morales grabs Singh’s phone out of her hand and tosses it across the crowded room.
The Daily News reports that Singh filed a report with the 19th precinct. Morales and the DOC have not made any official statements, however a spokesperson for the mayor’s office says that the situation is under investigation. The New York Post reports that Morales once appeared on MTV’s True Life for an episode focused on anger issues.
