(Butler, PA) – Former President Donald Trump returned to Butler for the first time since an assassination attempt in July. Trump said that it was divine intervention that saved him on that day when a gunman opened fire at his rally. The shooter ended up killing a rally goer and Buffalo firefighter, Corey Comperatore. Two others rally goers were injured and Trump’s ear was grazed by a bullet.
Before Trump took the stage, his running mate ,Ohio Senator JD Vance, also spoke along with Trump’s son, Eric. While Trump was speaking billionaire Elon Musk jumped onto stage and took the mic. Musk said that Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. Trump said that he and the SpaceX owner would make sure that the country leads in space exploration.
There was a massive display of security at the rally. The small town in the swing state saw an amped up Secret Service detail, uniformed officers, counter sniper teams and a heavy drone presence.
