(New York, NY) — Mayor Adams cannot be happy with the results of a new Marist College poll that finds 69 percent of New Yorkers want him to step down now that he is facing criminal charges. When the survey is broken down by race, it finds 59 percent of black voters want him to quit, 67% of Latino voters and 72% of white voters say it’s time for him to resign.
The Marist poll of New York City voters also finds nearly two-thirds of New Yorkers surveyed want Governor Kathy Kathy Hochul to begin the process of removing Adams from office. She has the power to take him down under a clause in the New York City charter.
Marist College says it surveyed 1,073 adults between September 30th and October first to come up with it’s results.
