Iran Launches Missile Strike On Israel

mixcollage-01-oct-2024-10-29-am-3547

Iran is reportedly planning a ballistic missile attack against Israel and the US military is providing support, according to officials. October 1, 2024.

(Jerusalem) – Amid heightening tension in the Middle East, and the growing fear of all-out regional war, Iran has launched an airstrike against Israel. A senior White House official had told multiple outlets they were aware of the threat ahead of time. Ultimately, 200 some ballistic missiles were launched into Israel.

In recent weeks, the Israeli military and Hezbollah — an Iranian proxy militant group in Lebanon — have been trading fire. That also includes the pager and walkie talkie attacks that killed dozens — an attack some have attributed to Israel. And in a more recent strike, Hassan Nasrallah — the Secretary-general of Hezbollah — was killed. Hezbollah has vowed vengeance.

Just yesterday we learned that Israeli military commandos have been carrying out “limited, localized and targeted ground raids,” against Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon — a possible precursor to ground operations there.

This is all while the fight between Israel and Hamas continues in Gaza — and while hostages are still being held, dating back to last October 7th’s terrorist attack in Southern Israel. Plus, on April 13 of this year, the Iranian military’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps launched a drone strike against Israel. It was largely ineffective and the Iron Dome defeated most of the attack. Hezbollah and Houthis — a Yemeni terrorist group backed by Iran — participated in that attack.

At last month’s UN General Assembly, President Biden urged for all sides to come to a peaceful resolution.
