(New York, NY) – It seems like UFOs are all the rage these days. Government whistleblowers and Congressional hearings have taken us well past the days of Twilight Zone intrigue, b-movies, and the X-Files. More and more the conspiratorial nature of UFOs and aliens are giving way to questions: could they be real?
But if you’re among the believers and want an out-of-body experience, where do you go? Online gambling company BetUS has crunched the numbers and they want to help. It turns out the number one place to go to for a UFO sighting is Phoenix, Arizona. That may not be so surprising given the limited light pollution, and general proximity to Area 51 in Nevada — at least in terms of being in the Southwest US. And, it makes sense then that Las Vegas, Nevada checks in at number three on the list.
Yet there’s a surprising entry at number two: New York City. Despite the high skyscrapers, bright lights, and millions of people watching the skies — apparently the Big Apple is the nation’s second-best UFO spotting site.
Portland, Oregon and Tucson, Arizona round out the top five. Happy UFO hunting, New Yorkers!
