(New York, NY) – New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted on five charges relating to receiving foreign donations to his 2021 mayoral campaign. The charges include one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, one count of wire fraud, two counts of solicitation of a contribution by a foreign national and one count of bribery.
Adams maintains that he will not resign and intends to fight the charges, urging New Yorkers to hear the mayor’s defense before making any judgements. Adams is the first sitting mayor of New York to face a federal indictment. Read the full 57-page document from the Southern District of New York:
