(New York, NY) — Parents in Jackson Heights and Corona Queens are angry more is not being done to clear out the prostitutes that they say are walking the streets right near their kids schools.
Students who attend PS 19 on Roosevelt Avenue report seeing the women as they walk to class. Other says they see drug deals done out in the open outside PS 307 and PS 89 on Britton Avenue.
The NYPD says it did a sweep of Roosevelt Avenue last week and made some arrests. They also closed down a storefront brothel. Parents say some of the workers have come right back though. They says it makes for an unsafe and uncomfortable daily walk to class for their kids.
