(New York, NY) — The feds, who are reportedly investigating whether Mayor Adams took illegal donations from Turkey in return for favors, are now apparently looking to see if the mayor had interactions with Israel, China Qatar, South Korea and Uzbekistan. Prosecutors wont say what they are looking for, or if Adams is directly involved. One high-ranking member of City Hall received a subpoena to testify before a grand jury.
News of this latest investigation came on the same day Mayor Adams learned another member of his administration is calling it quits. Health Commissioner Dr. Ashwin Vasan says he’s leaving because he wants to spend more time with his kids. In the last two weeks, the Police Commissioner, the Mayor’s Chief Counsel and now Health Commissioner have all resigned.
