Mayor Adams
(New York, NY) — Another member of the Adams administration has called it quits. Kristen Kaufman, the deputy commissioner of public private partnerships and economic development submitted her resignation late Wednesday. She did not say why she is stepping down. She is the third member of Adams administration to leave City Hall just in the last week, amid an FBI investigation of Adams’s inner circle.
Kaufman announced her resignation in a letter. She wrote “After nearly three years serving the Mayor’s Office of International Affairs as a Deputy Commissioner, I wanted to share with you that I will be leaving my position at the end of this month. I am grateful to Mayor Adams for this opportunity,” Kaufman did not detail why she choose to leave now.
In the last week, Police Commissioner Edward Caban and Mayor Adams’ chief counsel Lisa Zornberg both submitted their resignations.
